WES & NANCY RUYBAL
Wes and Nancy Ruybal of Katy Creek Band have been performing Western Music, Cowboy Poetry and Cowboy Gospel since 2000. With a pure uncomplicated style, they present Cowboy Music And Poetry in an enjoyable family format with renditions and recitations from the 1700-1800's to the modern day working cowboy.
Wes grew up a-horseback, cowboying with his father and brothers. Their cowboy heritage goes back to the settling of the San Luis Valley in Colorado.Wes's poetry tells of his many experiences growing up cowboy, including the folks he met, places he worked. Nancy, a country girl from Ohio, began writing and performing folk music at age fourteen, later traveling across the country playing many diferent venues from Ohio to Texas, California and Arizona. When they came together, it was only natural their music and poetry would speak of our great Western Heritage,those ways and times gone by and Wes's own cowboy experiences in the modern world. This is an adventure of laughter and tears, sing alongs and salutes you won't want to miss.
